I've completed a B.M. in Professional Music from the Berklee College of Music and performed with Steve Smith (Journey, Vital Tech Tones, Buddy's Buddies). I had the opportunity to study under Dave Fiuczinski, Wayne Krantz, Brett Wilmott, Mick Goodrick and Jon Damian. I've also toured with the Big Muddy River Blackout Band. In addition to touring, my recording experience is extensive and can be heard on several major label and independent projects. As an educator, I revamped and co-instructed a top high school finger-style guitar program in the state of Montana. In school,my primary focus was in music theory, accompaniment, and improvisation. My teaching may focus on classical(great for reading), jazz(with a heavy emphasis on blues for improv), rock/metal styles in any combination depending on your aspirations. While no idiomatic preference should be out of reach, a working knowledge of the fretboard that will enable the player to competently adapt to any style is the instructor's ideal goal. Influences(in no particular order and by no means exhaustive): Grant Green, Kenny Burrell, Wes Montgomery, Jimi Hendrix, Chet Atkins, Lenny Breau, George Van Eps, Leo Kottke, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Peter Bernstein, John Scofield, Ben Monder, Allan Holdsworth, Bill Evans, Jason Moran, Dave Binney, John Coltrane, Bach, Barrios, Villa Lobos, Leo Brouwer, Dillenger Escape Plan, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Hella, Psyopus, Don Caballero, Fugazi. If you really like chords, improvising, composing, tackling involved solo pieces for classic or electric, comping, playing with or without a pick, want to think notes instead of just rote memorized licks/chord progressions, work technique while you play changes, playing pentatonic scales from notes other than the root, develop aural skills or dig any of the artists listed above, I would be a great instructor for you!

As a professional guitar instuctor in the Austin area since 2007, I have worked with students of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds to help them achieve their musical goals and increase their proficiency with guitar. Specializing in blues improvisation along with rock, folk, and country experience, I have an advanced background in the styles of many guitar legends including Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Albert King, and Austin's own Stevie Ray Vaughan. In additon to being a fan of guitar and blues enthusiast, I enjoy working with students and serving as an ambassador to the world of guitar. Having worked with guitar students at local elementary, middle, and high schools for the past five years, I am fluent in communicating the theory and practice of successful guitar techniques and conveying these elements in a way that all students can understand and enjoy. Combined with my approachable and personable demeanor, my ability to help each student become comfortable and confident with their instrument allows students to achieve their musical aspirations and find their individual voice through the medium of guitar.

I have over 12 years of musical experience studying piano, guitar, and drums in genres from classical, contemporary, rock, blues, and jazz. Starting out learning piano at a young age, I quickly learned the importance of music as a tool for inspiration, self-expression, and transformation. Playing professionally and touring for the last 2 years, I have had the honor to play with bands such as The Rise of Science and also as a soloist/accompanist. I have also taught lessons to all age groups since I was 15 in many different styles and genres. My musical influences range from that of Chick Corea and Erroll Garner to Beethoven and Debussey. I believe that music should be a part of everyone's life and strive to share the gift of music with anyone willing to listen.

Hi, I am Jonathan Dixit, and I have a degree in performance at McNally Smith College of Music. Hailing from DeKalb, IL; I have been playing bass for 13 years and enjoy every minute of it. I am able to play with great lucidity and charm all while enjoying the styles of music I love such as funk, reggae, soul and jazz. Through my degree I am knowledgeable about theory, aural skills, and composition while still being able to keep the groove and remain true to the role of a bassist. Some bassists who inspire me are Flea, James Jamerson, Mike Gordon, Stanley Clarke, and Ron Cater. Music is supposed to be fun and I will always remain true to that statement while still implementing the correct skills and knowledge necessary.

I moved to Austin after graduating Berklee College of Music for Drum Set Performance, and Studio Engineering/Production. While at Berklee, I studied with some of the best Drummers on the planet and focused on Jazz and improvisation. Since moving to Austin, I've been drumming 7 days a week, teaching multiple instruments and techniques, playing in the band "The Vulture's Kit", writing music, producing and enjoying the music scene in this great city. I love to cook, and spend time with my fiance and crazy dog, Rocko. Some things that separate me from other Drummers are my extensive use of polyrhythms while still keeping "in the pocket grooves", a vast understanding of music theory and classical composition, the ability to play, teach, and compose for multiple instruments, and an understanding of the music industry. I've been teaching music for over 5 years now, and feel it's all about helping students find their groove and guiding them to a higher level of musicianship. Come see me today, and find your groove.

HI! My name is Scott Zucknick and I have been involved in music from a very early age. Performing, recording, and touring in the music industry since twelve years old, I have been extremely fortunate to gain a considerable amount of knowledge and experience and always learning more throughout my travels. Inspired by many, I have worked extremely hard to overcome challenges to get to where I am today and continue to advance in this often lucrative, highly stressful business. Pursuing a professional career in this field may be tough, but adaptation and an open mind have sent me farther as a musician than a one with an ego. Primary a drummer, I also play guitar and just about any other instrument put in front of me. From lead and harmony vocals, to piano and various other instruments, I feel the ability to be as versatile as possible and grow as a player at any stage of the game is crucial. The hard work and dedication it takes is shown in my abilities every night as I currently play with many different artists/musicians throughout my home state of Texas, and other ventures throughout. I currently have 17 years of continuous 'real world' road touring and studio session work with various artists/bands in many different styles of music. I have been and still perform with many commercially successful country music artists/bands. Some such as "Wade Hayes", "Kieth Anderson", "Hearth Wright(Ricochet)", "Perfect Stranger", "Charlie Robison", "Rick Trevino", and "Drew Womack". The same applies to chart topping songwriters such as "Trent Willmon", "Thom Shepherd", and "Bruce Robison". I have had exposure to thousands of people and other musicians alike in Television, Newspapers, and On-line from an early age. I have headlined/opening shows with other known regional and national recording acts as well as continuous performances with up-and-coming artists at active venues throughout the United States. Some from recent times have included: "Tim McGraw", "Trisha Yearwood", "Neil McCoy", "Ashanti", "The Commodores"(x2), "Gary Allan", "Bowling For Soup", "Montgomery Gentry", "Boyz II Men", and "Eve 6". Past exposure has been with: "Reba McEntire", "Blake Shelton", "Craig Morgan", "Sammy Kershaw", "Shooter Jennings", "Tracy Lawrence", "Emilio", "The Bellamy Brothers", and "Billy Joe Shaver". Some of the major artists and people I call friends making waves here in the ever-popular "Texas Music Genre/Scene" are: "Pat Green", "Cory Morrow", "Cross Canadian Ragweed", "The Randy Rogers Band", "Kevin Fowler", "Deryl Dodd", "The Derailers", "Wade Bowen", and "The Eli Young Band". I have professional communication with many influenced players in the drumming/musical community (especially the popular Texas Music Scene) and abroad via high profile environments. I am currently professionally endorsed and represented by Future Sonics In- Ear Monitors and Paiste Cymbals. Thanks and come see me at Guitar Center Studios in Round Rock, TX.
